Alex is fundraising for Team Jak

Team Jak is a foundation that provides practical, social and emotional support to children, young people with cancer and related illnesses, and their families. They offer services like drop-in sessions, music therapy, counselling and more. 

jak was a normal happy teenager, until August 2014 when he took suddenly and seriously ill. Devastatingly Jak was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form or cancer. Five months later, Jak gained his wings. 

Throughout his illness, Jak demonstrated remarkable strength and positivity. In his last few months he showed extraordinary courage and selflessness. He raised nearly £100,000 for various cancer charities. Six days before he died Jak wanted to continue his positive legacy and  unveiled his plans to support other young people walking the same journey. He called his charity Team Jak and charged is mum with the job of building it and creating Jak's Den. 

Donating to Team Jak helps support young people with cancer and other illnesses. By donating you help make a difference in numerous ways. Team Jak focus on childhood brain cancer, an under - researched area. your donations will directly fund research efforts which include identifying and treating genetic mutations associated with childhood brain cancer.
