The National Three Peaks Challenge is TOUGH! This extreme challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.
We have 30 very brave participants taking part and each team member will be raising a minimum of £300 for their chosen ‘Gif of AV’ charity.
I have chosen Noak's Ark Children's Charity - Noak’s Ark ensure that treatment and outcomes for children can continue to improve by funding new and innovative medical equipment and facilities. They support children and families in the here and now through emotional support service and the much loved play specialist team and they invest in the future by providing technology that helps train the bright clinicians of tomorrow. They also strive to make the hospital a less frightening and more familiar place for children by sprinkling a little fun and happiness into hospital days.
As a charity that relies entirely on gifts and donations – this is all made possible thanks to people like you.
