Eleanor Humphrey-moore's Story
I'm taking on the Twickenham Zip Wire challenge at the Allianz Stadium to raise funds for Dementia UK in memory of my Nanny Joan, who sadly passed away from dementia in 2019.
Dementia is more than just ‘forgetting things’. It can change the person you know. It can affect their personality, independence and ability to recognise the people around them. Watching someone experience those changes is truly heartbreaking.
My nanny left behind 3 sons and 4 grandchildren who deserved so much more time with her. She was such a special part of all our lives. Dementia affected not only her, but our whole family.
Thank you for supporting me and helping me turn a personal loss into something positive. Every donation, no matter the size ❤️
El xx
With almost one million people currently living with dementia in the UK, the condition affects not only those diagnosed but also their families and loved ones. Dementia UK's specialist nurses provide expert advice, practical support, and compassionate guidance to families facing the challenges of dementia, helping them navigate every stage of the condition.
Through their helpline, clinics and one-to-one support. Dementia UK ensures that families don't have to face dementia alone.
By supporting my fundraising page, you'll be helping Dementia UK continue its vital work.
A donation of £5 could help provide families with access to trusted information and advice when they need it most
A donation of £10 could help support Dementia UK's Helpline, connecting families with specialist dementia nurses
