Joe Smith's Story
The National Three Peaks Challenge is TOUGH! This extreme challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.
We have 30 very brave participants taking part and each team member will be raising a minimum of £300 for their chosen ‘Gif of AV’ charity.
I'm aiming to raise a minimum of £300 for Friends of the Earth - Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland is a grassroots environmental campaigning community. From our campaigners and lawyers to local action groups and supporters, we push for change on causes that matter to you:
