Jordan Deemer's Story

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is perhaps Britain's most  𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 hikewalking challenge. Taking place in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the challenge involves the ascent and descent of all three peaks in  just  𝟏𝟐 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬.  Completing the challenge is a great accomplishment and unforgettable experience with a total ascent of 1585 meters (5200ft) and uneven terrain making it a hard and challenging trek. Our Team of 40 courageous participants will take part and raise a minimum of £300 for their chosen 'Gift of AV' charity. lets help them reach their target whilst they race the 12 hour clock.

Jordan is fundraising for Team Jak with all net proceeds going to the charity.

Jak was a normal happy and healthy teenager, who enjoyed playing in goals with his county and school football team, and playing tuba in his school band until August 2014 when he took suddenly and seriously ill. Devastatingly Jak was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer: Gamma Delta T- cell Lymphoma.

Five months later, Jak gained his wings.

Six days before Jak died he unveiled plans to support other young people walking the same journey. He called his charity Team Jak and charged his mum, Allison, with the job of building it and creating Jak's Den . Team Jak Foundation provides practical, social and emotional support to children and young people age 0-25 with cancer and related illnesses, their family, friends and those bereaved.
