The National Three Peaks Challenge is TOUGH both physically and mentally! This extreme challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - twice the ascent of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, over a similar total walking distance. The total driving distance is 462 miles.
Myself and 29 colleagues have each signed up to take on the challenge in aid of charities that are close to us personally and in my case the chosen charity is GOSH.
Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people from across the UK arrive at GOSH. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. And every day is a chance for you to make a difference.
This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential. Please help in raising money to offer the children of Great Ormond street a better future.
I give thanks for whatever you feel you can donate to this worthy cause.
