Dee is fundraising for MS Trust
Multiple Sclerosis Trust is a UK charity that is dedicated to making life better for people living with MS. Around 135 people are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis every week in the UK. That's one person every two hours. An MS diagnosis can be devastating, for both people with MS and their loved ones, You may feel lost, lonely and uncertain of the future with the MS Trust, you don't have to deal with it alone. The charity is here to help everyone make sense of MS, from the moment of diagnosis and throughout your journey.
In 2023 the Multiple Sclerosis Trust celebrated its 30th birthday and achieved significant milestones. Despite challenges, they have made a difference for people living with MS.
- The charity appointed additional MS nurses and MS champions in the NHS to help address neurological waiting lists
- The charity responded effectively to increased demands for advice during and after the pandemic and compensating for reduced fundraising income
Every single penny that is raised by fundraisers like Dee makes a difference. It means that the charity can support people living with the condition to live healthier and happier lives with funds contributing to specialist nurse and helpline training, research and education into specialised campaigns and exclusive events like distance challenges and garden parties that empower the MS community.
By donating to Dee the money can:
- Give people with MS a place to turn to through their helpline
- Help plug the gaps in MS care
- Help train MS health professionals
- Help provide evidence- based information
